Kroshik, 17kg Russian Cat, Dies Weeks After Obesity Threatens Health
Kroshik, recognized as the world’s heaviest cat, has sadly passed away, mere weeks after being admitted to a weight reduction clinic. Known affectionately by his name, which translates to “Crumbs” in Russian, Kroshik had reached a staggering weight of 17 kilograms. His journey began in the basement of a Russian hospital, where he sustained himself on leftover scraps, biscuits, and soup. Unfortunately, Kroshik’s extreme obesity placed his health in a precarious state, eventually revealing several cancerous tumors concealed by his large frame.
Despite efforts to improve his health, Kroshik’s condition proved insurmountable. In a heartfelt message, his caretakers expressed gratitude to those who stood by him: “Sometimes even the strongest cats cannot cope. Thank you for being with Kroshik until his very last breath.”
